People Health Case Study

Migraine

The Challenge:

While around 30% of adults have reported having at least one migraine yearly, 1.7-4% of the population report having this as a chronic issue. Due to the pain and effects of chronic migraines, the condition is associated with other ones, like anxiety and depression, and put a strain on finances and work social life. The condition is also twice as likely to occur in women, particularly those between the ages of 35-45. Targeted Media Health sought to reach this core audience by promoting a drug to treat chronic migraines.

The Solution:

This People Health issue was designed as a 32-page “take one” custom guide with a cover story on country singer Jessie James Decker. In the issue, Decker talks about her history of chronic migraines, how the condition affects her, and how she copes with it. The guide was sent to 2,500 highly targeted healthcare offices from June-December 2021.

The Results:

  • 86.4% of patients are reading the issues of PEOPLE Health.
